Every once in a while you get an opportunity to meet someone like Som, who has a past that you simply cannot fathom. To speak with someone like that who had endured so much and to see them doing so much good in the world is such a humbling experience. His work to help children in Nepal escape the horrors of the slave trade by starting schools with his foundation is a marvel and we can’t wait to visit and learn more later this year. He is also doing his best to change the travel and tourism industries in Nepal by running a trekking company that is hiring local, paying a living wage and encouraging the growth of its volunteers and employees. Thank you for your time Som!
